| After being a little taken aback by the £170 wanted for a flimsy Jardine rear rack to fit a Sissy bar; I have made my own by adapting an old rack that I had for my Kwak W650. It bolts onto the base of the sissy bar (with lots of washers!) and then I have fashioned two stuts from a fisherman's bank pole (seems to be aluminium I think) and fixed these to holes newly drilled in the rack and to the rearmost rear fender fixing bolt. I am very pleased with it; it seems very robust and will be very functional. Cost = £1.97 for the bank pole and about £3 for the nuts and bolts and washers. | |

So is your bike now a Suzaki or Kwakuki Kawasuzi? Will be on the look out for more shiny struts at some point perhaps! | |

If they are bothering you in the mean time, spray them black and they will melt away.

| I have used a similar product myself, the one I used wouldn't stand up next to real chrome but away from the real thing was very convincing. (if that makes sense) | |
