Just been looking at the stock foot boards, brake & gear shift & I reckon the whole lot could be moved reasonably easily!

I have often looked at the forwarding kits that are made over the pond but begrudge paying out on something like that because there is no adjustment to them for the user to get maximum ride comfort.

So after looking at them this afternoon I have decided that I will (in the not to distant) raise them up by just over 1" inch to the rear of the board, just over 2" at the front of the board but also move everything forward by just over 2".

For the gears side of the bike, I will fabricate a bracket putting the boards where I want them. This will be a very simple bracket that basically bolts to the frame where the boards normally do but then also has holes further forward and raised for the boards to bolt back on to.

I will change the brake adjuster bar to a longer one or possibly use something like threaded bar to give the extra length required.
For the the foot brake side of the bike I will add the other identical bracket and extend or make a new brake bar.

When you actually look at it, it is a very simple. I will have greater riding comfort and as a bonus, stopped the boards from grounding out when cornering.

What do you think?

How did you work out the dimentions for how you want the floor boards, did you put your feet where you want them and then get someone to get the tape measure out and measure the differences?

Thanks for the comments Morgan & Crash * Moving the stock foot boards & accessories - Suzuki C800 * 433968
No I definitely did not work out how I want my feet by the method you suggest Crash, that would be to much like guess work. What I did was make up 2 wooden jigs that I could quickly adjust and attached them to the bike both sides. After a bit of playing around I worked out how I would ideally like my feet to be and then took my measurements from that!
