| The position of my new hard panniers makes it virtually impossible to get the key into the standard helmet lock. I also find it's frustrating to only lock one helmet to it. So found this handy little lock.... Can be used as a little padlock, or the steel cable will fit through the metal buckle of an open face helmet, then both ends loop back into the bottom of the lock. And of course you can use various parts of the frame, or a screen mounting etc, to loop through. All of about £7 online... if anyone wants one, I'll dig out the link. Cheers | |

| Here's the LINK
For further info, the purple body of the lock is plastic or nylon of some type (it looks like metal in the Ebay photo). It's about 4cm long, excluding the hasp. Cable is about 80cm long, so plenty of scope for looping through frame or whatever. £5.50 plus £1 p&p.

| I had the sam problem, using the helmet lock, owing to the saddlebags.
I got one of these Helmetloks, with the wire cable.
Here is the link thingy.

They do mail orders, & great to deal with.
**I have no association with them, except as a customer.**

| The thing I like about them is;
You can either get them pre-set, to a combination of your choosing, or you can change it yourself, with the enclosed instructions.
They are great, being able to lock both jacket & helmet to your bike, & having a great chance, of them being there, when you come back.
But, like all locks, they only stop the honest or opportunistic crooks.
If anyone is going to get one of these, I would reccommend getting the cable as well, the lock will secure the helmet, but the cable will do jacket as well.
I feed cable through both sleeves of jacket, then through helmet; then onto the lock with both ends of cable.
