| This took four days to make, lots of shaping cutting trimming and grinding. The eyes nose and teeth all glow red, it’s a light weight skull air soft mask with aluminium brackets making the skull flow with the bikes lines and keeping any dirt out the lights as it’s a sealed unit. How to start,1, find a mask that you like.2, look at where you want it over your wheel, cutting the mask to the shape you want.3, make many card templates to look at the best way for you to mount the mask.4, find alloy metal, Targetry or street signs are good.5, template to shape the metal, do not rush.6, you will need two as the second is used to shape strengthen and smooth the sides.7, manipulate the metal to fit inside the mask giving you a good fit and a sealed back.8, use the mask and drill your hols for mount inch the plastic mask, nuts bolts and big washers, four hols over the forehead will do.9, test fit for look and accuracy,10, mix bond body filler to hide the lines and bolts front and back, this may take many different coats to get the look you’re after, again take your time.11, sand and grind for the smooth finish. But if it’s a textured mask then don’t kill yourself to get it perfect.12, this is the easy bit, prep and prime.13, spray black.14, colour the scars or any other features.15, 3 to 4 layers of lacquer.16. Fit and admire. | |
