| Hi, I found these really nice looking windshields by National Cycle They seem to be much less expensive - and better looking, IMHO - than the ones made by Suzuki. Unfortunately, yankees don't have the new model M800 (M50 as they call it), so these shields are supposed to be mounted on the M1500 (M90) only. The mounting hardware attaches on four points of the fork, so my guess is that they should work on my bike as well. Unfortunately, I don't know whether the M1500 has wider forks than the M800 - can't find the stats on the Internet, apparently, and the M1500 isn't sold in Italy so the guys at the shop have no idea. Do any of you know it? If the diamater is just a bit larger, do you think that a bit of rubber would be enough for a safe mounting? Thanks, have a great day! | |

| Hi Raph, you can make anything work if you have the skills but whether it will be an easy fix or not I don't know. I have done an internet search and have referenced an email that was received by another owner asking the same question and the reply was NO it won't fit. I also checked the Suzuki catalogue and they do not share the same part numbers, which they would do if they shared the same part. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. | |

| Thank you Dave, you actually told me something really important - I won't rush into the purchase for the time being ;-)
I mailed the guys at NC, if they answer I'll post it here.

| You could always hit the local Suzuki dealership armed with a tape measure and see what type of reaction you get. | |

| Thanks Ian, but the M1500 is not sold in Italy, I guess they figured that with the 800 and 1800 we had been given enough to choose from I'll see if there's forum for that bike to, and ask them - though it can't be as good as this one we're on!!! | |

they are saying that it fits the M50 and M90. It may to post a query to these guys.

| I suppose the maker will always say no if a part was specifically made for a particular bike without them doing a test on another bike or model. The guys that sell I reckon will often get asked by customers to try it on another model and if it fits they list it for that model as well. Good bit of researching there Ian | |

| Hi, I mailed the guys Ian linked, and they said that it most probably won't fit the bike :'( I guess I'll go with the Suzuki shield, it's not really pleasing to the eye but I'm going to need some wind protection (mi girlfriend is in Munich and I'm going to visit her often...) BTW, I can't find the post that spoke about how and where to upload pictures - I remember something about using an external site, but I lost track of the proper thread | |

| I fitted one of these and can recommend it highly. Oddly enough the top brackets are little tight. I removed the rubber gasket and used duct tape for protection on the fork instead. the brackets required opening up slightly. A gentle squeeze in the vice was enough. Have heard other people require longer bolts but I was able to use the supplied ones. For best effect make sure the brackets are as far up the forks as possible. | |

| Thanks a lot John! I bought the suzuki "summer" screen, which looks better than one would think from the pictures, and it's also quite efficient. But since I need a taller screen as well, I'll get me one of these. Again, thank you for the info and pictures! | |
