PostSubject: Huge changes   Tue Dec 25, 2012 9:04 pm

Let's see..........

I've bought this Bike and has begun the transformation into something I fancy.

The list is still growing.

Get rid off all the "circus" stuff, which means:

Remove: Windscreen, tankstrap, sissybar, saddlebags, OE exhaust, spotlights, luggage rack etc etc

Install:

New seat........................................................................ Done
handlebar........................................................................ Done (almost)
exhaust.......................................................................... Done (It's now a Silvertail)
Indicators, front and back ................................................. In progress
Fit an original Fairing ........................................................ Done

I'm keeping the hog on the frontfender(not sure why??)

The future involves:
Polished wheels
Hide the wires on handlebar
Move the horn
LED rearlight
and maybe a paint job

That sounds interesting, are you adding new wheels or polishing the ones you have on at the moment?

I am also interested to know what your plans are with regards to polished wheels?
When you say hide the cables, do you plan on running them inside the handle bars?
You say move the horn, why would you do that? Do you mean add a more powerful horn to another place on the bike?

Plan is to polish the original wheels. I'm not hiding the cables, just the wiring which will run inside the handlebar when it's modified. The horn is to be moved down below the engine, I think that will make the bike look cleaner.

Those wheels will look brilliant polished

Where is your horn at the moment, in the normal place they can't be seen. do you have an aftermarket horn on your bike

The horn is right above the radiator. The polished wheels will be next winters jobs.

Profiler seat looks nice.
Will you polish the wheels yourself, sounds like a lot of work but well worth it I'm sure.
