| Hey all so I have a 97 vz800 which I plan to gradually swap and change a few bits, any advice for sourcing parts (ideally nice but reasonably priced) would be greatly appreciated. I want to replace the pegs with floorboards new forward controls with a heel toe gear shifter. fit engine bars, I want a new sissy bar with a luggage rack. I would like to replace the handle bars for ones which come further back, add better grips and end caps which are a little less plain. Im also looking for a set of twin riding lights to go either side of head light. and a mounting rail of course. Their is more than this that I aim to do but with a limited budget, its going to be a very gradual process! I have already been sourcing parts and have managed to find all but the gear shift. but if people have companies they already use and can suggest then fantastic! Also any advice that can be given to make work easier is always a bonus! | |

| other bit I forgot, the red pinstriping on the bike and the marauder sign I am also repainting purple and have got some purple engine bolts on route as well but am also looking for some subtle purple LED's to highlight the chrome work. | |

| Hi Mark Metric Cruisers are always a good bet for parts & members get discount there as well. You may find this link useful as well MPL Some of the guys have just fitted some excellent grips (Kuryakyn copies) for silly cheap £. ( A link to these please someone ) Be careful if fitting a lightbar as some will not work with a screen fitted. Check with whoever you buy from that it will. Don't be afraid to buy from the USA either, Custom Cruisers are excellent. | |
