Hi shortpants,
You can get the seat reshaped / recovered locally I'm sure.
I'm in the process of getting both rider & passenger seat done at a company in Bradford called DLC. Its gojng to bef a couple of hundred quid but it will be done to my specc so I know it will be right..
Try searching Google for your area or I can give uou the number of DLC if ya like

The previous owner of my c800 took the passenger seat to COBRA LEATHERS in Swindon. Applied extra padding and recovered. They made a very good job of it too. Perhaps there is someone near you who could do the same.

Hi shortpants, my m800 has a vl800 passenger seat fitted which is thicker in depth and wider at the rear than the original. It does need a little modification to the mounting bracket but half an hours work has it fitted.

See pics of it on my bike in the showroom, mine was fitted for the comfort of my wifes butt on longer journeys.
