PostSubject: Sissy Bar Pad   Sissy Bar Pad Icon_minitimeSat Feb 01, 2014 9:26 pm

Hi guy's n gal's.
Just had a brainstorming session with the good lady as she said the sissy bar pad didn't feel big enough for her as she's been used to a large top box back pad until we got the Intruder.
So the intention is to remove the Renegade pad & replace it with a larger one custom designed by myself & covered by, hopefully, Tony Archer from Huddersfield.
So all I have to do is buy some alloy plate, s/s nut's n bolts n washers & do the sizing design, simple's!!! Yeh right. . .  LOL!
Oh yes & while I'm at it I'll lengthen the back cover & speak to the wizard & see if he can do some sort of decal, mmmm smokin.... Sissy Bar Pad 2343124779

Sounds like a plan Peter, Tony Archers your man for that type of thing  Sissy Bar Pad 3498837457  I've been looking into Aluminium plate for a rigid back to my panniers, Bloody expensive! I've gathered the knowledge that road signs are 3mm thick and come in various sizes and are only held on with Jubilee clip type things  Very Happy  Those tin snips I bought seem like a bargain now  Twisted Evil

If the design you want is not to elaborate, have a think of ways to do the whole thing yourself. You may surprise yourself.

Just remember to fit them on the inside  Sissy Bar Pad 3213823784 Would want a tug from the boys in blue.

Whilst in China some of my division took a trophy from the dockyard in Shanghai whilst we were on HMS Cornwall. It was a 5 foot aluminium sign saying trespassers will be shot. The fitted it to the hatchway above their mess deck little buggers. Luckily the command found it funny.

To have the sissybar done the same as your seats will look so good & yes I understand. Reason for that is firstly as I love my bike & secondly as my wife tells me I love her even more.  Sissy Bar Pad 852880

Peter, try and find someone who sells chequer plate and see if they have any offcuts, this could be fairly cheap, you could have plain alloy or the cross hatching done in satin black, food for thought !!
