Sorry fellow members but I have still not had time to work out Photobucket, not that it would much help here at all.
I have read in various posts of members saying how their keys or key fobs have damaged the motorcycles ignition neck cover. The simple way in which I assured mine would not acquire damage was to cover the small area of cover which could sustain damage with a small amount of clear sticky backed plastic. Could work just as well for members who have fitted chrome neck covers due to being clear.

That's a great idea Ken.
I have had an Ace Cafe sticker there for ages just to limit the possibility of damage, it's better than damaging my Chrome neck covers though. I will get some clear sticky back plastic like you say, much better to see the black or in my case chromed neck cover undamaged and not have to have a separate ignition key which I would undoubtedly lose.
