| Thanks Ardie.
I'm torn between doing more stuff to it over winter or putting a deposit down on an Indian Scout. Don't have time for two bikes, so I'd have to sell the Vl. But I've put a lot of time into getting this one how I want it so I'm conflicted.
I'm going to have another look at the Scout at the bike show & mull it over
Thanks for the compliment |

| As you're probably aware, I decided to keep he VL for the time being & spent more time getting to how I wanted it to look. So over winter I've had the wheels stripped, powder coated & re-laced with stainless spokes. The diff unit has been wet sprayed in matt black, the fake swing-arm, fork legs & brake caliper powdered in gloss black. I've fitted an auxiliary fuse box, a rev counter & a radiator grill. I also cobbled together a headlight visor/grill which I wasn't sure about till I fitted it - exceeded my expectations. So I reckon I'm just about done - but I've said that before " /> " /> " /> " /> |

| Those UK sized plates really are a bugbear when fitted on bikes. We have 21cm x 13cm (new-bike legal size) or 17cm x 13cm (newish bike legal size) and they are both big enough to read and be photographed so the UK 'barn-door' size is bollox really. I'm really liking that rear fender |

| The plate, not the rear guard. The guard is just a piece of ally sheet bent to fit between the existing rails with a small upright return to attach the seat to. |

| Beautiful work Dave! Love the "blacked-out" look of on the fender and cover. I did the same to the wheels on my Dodge Avenger as soon as we bought it. |
