Well after drilling out the baffles on both exhausts, I am now getting approximately 200 miles to the 15.5l tank. It also gets up to 80mph (on private roads officer) way quicker than it used to.

Very happy with this mod!

WOW so your getting better fuel economy, that's amazing. Possibly the sound your now getting is encouraging you to change gear at a different point to you once was. I could only ever dream of getting those miles per tank, my right wrist is spring loaded I think.     Still very interesting findings all the same.

Just poked a stick down my exhausts and it transforms the sound, much deeper but not loud, also as mentioned by Graham, my M800 pulls better, don't know about fuel though, mine is great on juice compared to what my other bike was but an Italian 1000cc v twin is never going to be frugal. Great mod and I still have the 20mm spiked bar to use as a handle for the wooden joist paddock stand I plan to make soon.

Good news Mick! Love the sound and acceleration!

Dave, the temptation to open her up is sometimes too hard to resist!
