| Hi all. Bit of assistance needed please. On the VX 800 on the front carb there are 2 pipes which I am having trouble identifying: 1. A small pipe which appears to be breather from the top of the carb. On mine this ends above the engine. Doesn`t seem a good place for a petrol breather to terminate ! 2. Small bore pipe coming from the inlet manifold. This comes out of right side of the manifold. (between carb and engine). On mine it again ends above the engine. This surely can`t be correct as it would suck in air. Any help gratefully accepted. I can`t find these pipes on any manuals I`ve got. | |

| Thanks for the replies. I`ve a copy of that diagram, thanks Andrew, and a couple of others, but can`t find what I`m after. Been playing at blowing and sucking on various pipes (I`m sure TaurusTuga will be having a chuckle at that). So far firing on rear pot only. But am keeping with it for a while yet. Thanks Peter will have a look. | |

| Any photos of the offending pipes, I could then take a look on my VX to see where they go. | |

| Thanks for offer, and sorry for late reply! Thunder storm knocked out intetnet for a while. Update is now running ok on both cylinders. I'm confident about 3 of the pipe connection made, but am unsure about the fourth. Had to walk away from the job as it was Sun day evening and had work Mon morning. Fuller write up anon. Thanks again Andrew. | |

| Righto, sorted out now: the "extra" spigot coming off the front carb is the drain hole. I had a slight weep of fuel coming from it, and thought it was an overflow with a bad seating on the needle valve or a punctured float or summat similar. Anyway took the carb off, took off float chamber, and found out the drain screw not properly seated. Cleaned it all up re-assembled, and soon gonna run fuel thro it again. So, seems to me no need for any hose from drain, unless doing maintenance. | |
