| Hey, im in the UK and purchased a 2005 VOL (carbed, one of the last carbed ones they did). Ive attached a photo for your viewing pleasure. http://tinypic.com/r/2vi2nf6/8 As far as mods go there arent many i want to do really. It came with some V&H cruzers which i fitted yesterday (sound amazing!) so thats the exhaust done. Not too bothered about performance mods, more just comfort/looks. I have ordered this but not yet fitted: Suzuki VL800 Volusia C800 Intruder C50 Boulevard LEATHER TANK Pad Cover Bra Bib | eBay Ive also ordered this, wonder if anyone here has it? About £200 cheaper than a Rentec or Highway Hawk, it hasnt arrived yet so cant comment on the build quality (probably not great) Sissybar Backrest Luggage Rack Fit Suzuki Volusia VL800 Boulevard M50 C50 Chrome | eBay What i would like is some footboards for the bike as i prefer them to pegs. Aftermarket parts in the UK are hellish expensive so ive been looking at these and wondered if anyone has got them: Front Rider Footboard Floorboards for Suzuki Volusia VL800 01 02 03 04 05 06-08 | eBay What im not keen on is how theyre hollow underneath. Maybe worth waiting for a used pair to come on? Lastly, i was looking at highway pegs but not sure if they would fit very well on my engine bars. Im 6ft. Anyway any opinions/user reviews on any on the above would be helpful! | |

| Hi bike looks well,as regards to sissybar good price, only trouble with China products are they are not up to our standards, the good thing is if it is mainly for show, just do not be to rigoris when polishing it.Floor boards what you can do is paint the underneath to rust proof them,no sees underneath anyway.Hope this helps in some way. | |

Mind telling me what is stock and what isnt? Obviously the saddlebags arent. They arent in the best shape, some rivets have come out so im repairing them today. They also have rubbed some small marks on the fender so maybe worth getting a touch up kit? Though from my research they are about £25 for a tiny pot! Screen i might sell, ive never liked the extra wind noise they create. It came with some vance and hines cruzers too which i fitted yesterday (epic smile when i fired her up!). I'll be doing a youtube review of the bike soon just for fun. My next mod will likely be the pair valve block (screw in the tubes), anyone done it? Seems to be big in America.

Thanks, i was wondering if the Suzuki floor boards are hollow underneath like the chinese ones? Or are they a thick 'board' of solid metal? If so i may just wait for some used ones to show on Ebay

Mind telling me what is stock and what isnt? Obviously the saddlebags arent. . Screen, although your removing it, they always handy to have for touring. Crash bars, they look like the inch and half thick ones, good quality Chrome rad cover Spotlights Bags and pannier brackets They all look good stuff to have, and not have to buy as an addition to your outlay.

| Good mods done and planned, I know Simbo and Mr Intruder fitted some quite cheap ones to their bars, you might need bigger brackets though?, if your crash bars are 1.5" the ones that come with those pegs are only for 1.25" link | |

| Hiya - only just picked up on this thread.
Did you ever get round to removing the PAIR valve ? I did mine to reduce the amount of backfire I was getting on over-run, apparently it's common with after-market pipes. I followed these directions & removed it in about an hour - piece of cake to do & cured the problem completely.
I'm in Nottingham near junction 25 if you're not confident about doing it yourself - garage & coffee can be provided !!!

| Hi, I didn't remove it I just blocked it. It made no difference to popping so I sold the bike and I'm now looking for a fuel injected one or an fz6, not sure which yet depends what comes up on eBay etc | |

| Hi eazyduz nice looking bike that came with some nice parts already on it . only thing I DON'T LIKE is the use of the word chinky I find it offensive but then again I don't like calling black people niggers either be nice if in the future you could use Chinese | |
