Thinking of replacing the stock grips, will it make a difference if the bar end weights are removed permanently (vibration etc). How easy is it to replace the throttle side, do I buy a set with the throttle assemble or is it easy just to get the grip off the stock throttle assembly, thanks in advance What do you guys think of these @ £17.00 del. inc.:

Nice, I have the same one's They come with the throttle tube John, it's just a matter of undoing the cluster, slacken the play in the throttle cable's (bar end) and lift cables out, the grip will just slide off then.

If I were you, I'd be inclined to try the bike to see if you actually need to replace your bar-end weights. If you feel you do, there are a few options. The problem I found is that whilst there are plenty of places that sell "universal" bar-end weights, there are very few places that sell them in 1", the majority are 7/8. You could have a look at a Bar Snake - never used them, but hear good things about them. I know a few members use kiddies play-sand - cheap, but probably best done if the bars are removed. As I wanted to fit a bar-end mirror, I had these knocked up at a local engineering company - they weigh almost the same as the original weights " /> Like I said, I wouldn't do anything till you've tried it first

I bought the 'cheap' grips but have altered them slightly by buying Kuryakin heavy bar end's & the matching throttle assister as I have a weak grip(yeah ok don't say it lol) due to a carpal tunnel op that left me slightly weaker. I had to obtain different screws to fit the 2 different makers bit's together but you would not think they were not meant for each other & are really good bit's of kit!
