I'm basically about to ask ya'll to help me as i jet my carbs. My first tuning adventure.
So i'm installing these cherry bombs: Emgo Cherry Bombs
On my 1998 Intruder VS800GL . Needless to say they are pretty open without a baffle and just packing. So, gotta jet that ho. I've heard of jet kits and was considering the Dyno Jet one, but i know i can just buy the individual pieces for under $5 each and save a considerable amount of money. Like at Jets R Us

I have taken my carbs apart to clean them in the past and have a pretty basic understanding on how it works but... i have no clue what size needles, jets or e-clips or washers to get at Stage 1. This is where ya'll come in.
I'm keeping the stock air system because engineers. So we are modding to accommodate a straight pipe basically. I might get it a tapered tip to save my own ear holes but that comes later (i've heard of blowback, is that a serious concern?).

. And because i've heard it matters, my area is in the 500-1000 ft above sea level range. Closer to 500.
