| I have now directed my thoughts to putting a screen on my new bike. The front runners in this business are National Cycle and Memphis Shades - both from USA and both quite expensive. However, they both mount their screens on the forks. On my Shadow the fork covers were bolted on to the yoke but the Intruders' are not. They are just mounted on the rubber bushes and can be turned by hand. Had a look in the manual and this is how it is suposed to be. Question is, it sounds a bit iffy to mount a screen on them. Has anyone else faced this issue? I had a Skidmarx screen on the Shadow and they fit on the bars and the yoke, a 4 point fix. I have spoken to them and they are quite happy to make the screen whatever height I like so I will probably go with a 15" screen from them. They are always helpful on the phone.

| I have now ordered a Skidmarx screen with a grey tint and a height of 15". Not happy about using the fork covers to support the weight of air pressure on a screen. They are really helpful people and it is supporting British manufacturing, which makes me feel good about the decision.

KeithW They should be fine, I've seen a few fork mounted screens on VL800's without problems. I had my lowers connected to the lower fork covers without problems and they'll rotate all the way round. | |
