| I was fed up with the scratches on the frame covers so i decided to do something about it ! The options were to either have just the ignition key on its own (although i found it to be a problem when trying to find it in your pocket in your leathers) or to come up with an idea. So here is what i did !!! First raid my wee girls toy box !! I found a skull from last years halloween, get a spare made up then cut the top of it to make it slightly narrower, then cut a section out of the plastic skull insert the key inside ,fill it with fibreglass resin, wait 24 hours for it to set and hey presto !! a key i can find easily and looks pretty cool when inserted in the ignition !!!
See photos ! Also have found that the scratches from before can be rubbed out with compound the a couple of coats of a good wax ! The best wax i have found is Harly wax (yes that is how it is spelt) it is 100% no.1 yellow carnauba wax and it gives a great shine to your paintwork , a 14oz tin from ebay cost me £14 but there is enough there to last a lifetime !!

| Very good idea, thats given me an idea as well! I have been thinking of ways of hiding the ignition key hole by moving it but you have inspired me and now I have worked out how to do it. I will use one of my old chrome stock bar ends and do the same as you. That way I could have the key in the ignition and it would not stand out as a the ignition, very clever! | |

| Looks really good that mate.
I always take my ignition key off the rest of the keys to prevent any scratches.
