| Anyone get this done and have issues with the belt? I just got bike and put 50 miles on it and belt broke, I’m thinking was a bad idea to trust that the tension had been checked. That said, the belt that came off was BDL SPC 135-20. Anyone use the same belt, any idea how long might this take to replace the belt or should I look at going back to sprocket and chain? Scoot Works website seems to be offline for ordering and found them on Amazon but just wanted to see if anyone has had problems with it.
Thanks

| How do you measure the tension?? I have a BMW (I bought it at 15000 miles) and it's belt drive, the belt is supposed to be changed at 24000 miles on my bike but it stripped its teeth at 16000 miles!!! My belt is made by Continental for BMW so I got a new one and fitted it myself. I did some research and I also contacted Continental and asked for their opinion as to what may have caused the belt to strip its teeth and they said the most likely reason is that it was over tightened. It is supposed to be tensioned while it is on its centre stand so that the belt is at its tightest position, I suspect the last time it was tensioned prior to me getting it was when it was on its side stand which would mean the belt would be to tight at full suspension travel. | |

| The guy gave me a brand new in box Belt Tension Guage, should’ve been my clue to check it, says to check after first 600 miles and I suspect that wasn’t done. I’m going to get a belt and give it a go but if anyone has the same conversion kit I’d like to hear from you. | |

| I think I would be tempted to go back to chain and sprocket mate | |
