Spokes, unless you're one of these types that like cleaning a lot? That's why I opted for the 'M'

| Hmm. Much better. I'm convinced.
Anybody do a week's touring on one of these?
I do like a European tour. (At steady speed)

| Hey, I had a 2005 m800. Fitted a sissy bar with luggage rack and panniers and me and my wife did a couple of week long tours in Europe.... one northern Spain, one in the Eiffel region of Germany. But of a squash carrying everything but generally great | |

| cant say I was touring on mine (2009 VZ800) but I set of from just outside of London went to Birmingham then down to Cornwall once there I rode visiting places, beaches up and down both coasts from top to bottom did that for 4 days then went back longest time in saddle was from London to Birmingham then Cornwall on the fist day stopped along the way but only for as long as it took to fill petrol drink a coffee and have a smoke I find my VZ800 comfortable could you tour on one?? probably depends on how many mile's per day your planning on doing, how often you stop and for how long we are all different I might be able to ride a bike for 6 hours and feel fine you might have a ride on same bike and after 2 hours say god this fekin bike gives me a bad back or the other way round good thing about these bikes is that they are pretty good to start with you could add gel pad in your saddle try a rider back rest bring your handlebars back a bit with different riser's or just change the handlebars and you can probably read posts on this site about people who have made all said changes and more happy reading | |
