I'd like to bring the handlebars back about 1 1/2".

Would this mean a longer throttle cable and what risers would you suggest?

Monty I think you'll get away with the risers without the need for extended cables.
For some strange reason known only to Mr Suzuki they shortened the cables from 2009 onwards.
One trick you could try if wanting bigger risers or more pullback is to whip the handle bars off, which is a 5 min job and see how far away from the stock risers they would comfortably go without any excess stress on your cables.

Monty have you got a link to the ones you bought as I am very interested in risers myself. A picture of them on your bike would be nice but if your as technically backward as me then no worries

I'll post a pic tomorrow if I can find the damn camera batteries (just moved house)

But here's the link.

They dont seem to be selling them at the moment but just message the contact and they should be able to sort you out. The eBay oic is pretty good at demonstrating exactly how they look.

They do 1" and 2" options. I bought 1" risers for my M800 2010 silver machine Cool

Cool Thanks for the link Monty
Out of curiosity as you bought the 1'' riser would there have been enough cable spare fo a 2" riser?

I like the risers on my C800, that's why I am looking for different bars instead.
Don't forget to check the cable play on full lock to lock turn too.

Theres enough play on the 1" risers from lock to lock but I suspect 2" risers would be pushing it.

I am from Spain. I have M800 2007 and I've bought same 2" spacers than you. I want install them in my bike, but the problem is the instructions are in language ENGLISH. Then, I don't understand the total process. can you show me some photos?
