Took it out for a quick spin. Bike feels lighter (lower center on gravity) and handles better.. Happy so far.

Sounds good, never read anywhere that people dont like it when the bones have been added. I know it will always be possible to find the odd guy that will moan but just about everything I have ever read has been written positively. I would also like to your pics when you add them as well  2" lowering bones 184121345

How tall is tall Twisted?
I'm 6ft tall and after dropping mine 2" I find it more uncomfortable due to legs being more bent. (or rather you me leaning forward more)
I shall solve that though with forward controls and raising the seat a bit.

Functional - hell yes...bike handles better in a way...lowered centre of gravity a bit.
Comfortable - with right seat - which you got - yes

Foot boards touch down a bit too soon for me, I have a pillion 90% of the time though and there's a couple of inches play in upwards movement of the boards, so once you've got used to the scraping noise it's not really a problem.

Bike lowered. As you can see I have lost the number plate and trimmed plastic. Fitted a side mounted plate. Just need to get some indicators.

I like this mod, thinking of doing it, but even jacking the suspension up a bit, isn't there a danger
of the tyre rubbing on the wires under the mudguard?

Nice one Sim ....
I've left my suspension on factory settings, as I'm only 11 and a half stone, in a wet German army greatcoat,
would you say turn it up one or two clicks?

Mines on the next to last setting, I'm 12 stone and the mrs is about 10 stone so factory setting is probably ideal for you.  2" lowering bones 3498837457

Hi Morgan  2" lowering bones 18617
I had my indicators going through rear bolt hole on mine and the wire or bolt never snagged on the tyre, I suppose there is a limit to how far a bolt can stick through?, but that's something you can feel for by sticking your hand up the side of the fender to gauge if there's clearance, best option would be to drill the thread out of the welded nut on the inside of the fender support and reverse the bolts then use dome head nuts on the outside to pretty it up.

That's a good idea.   It's just the seat end nuts that are welded, mine are a bit corroded and I used new ones at the tail end.  Just out of curiosity, how do you get the rear fender off?  Is it the big chromed allen bolts?  They are on super tight, and I went so far, and stopped, for fear of rounding them off.

Yeah, the three allen bbolts at the front of the chrome fender rail, they have loctite on them from the factory so they're pretty stiff first time, you only need to remove one side then the fender comes loose with the support underneath.

Got Sims 2" lowering bones on loan, just to see how I get on before I order some myself.
I will try to fit them tomorrow or Sunday if possible, then I will have to actually ride the bike for a change to see how I get on with them. 2" lowering bones 852880 If they make the boards scrape how Sim says & I am sure they do, that will be great. I will order Titanium nuts for under the boards, then people behind can go affraid  as they start to scrape & sparks start to fly out. 2" lowering bones 852880
Thanks for the loan Sim. 2" lowering bones 3498837457 wagg

Dave, hope your feeling better soon pal 2" lowering bones 3498837457  , did I mention I had to take the engine out to remove them?  2" lowering bones 852880 seriously though, I did have to remove the stock exhaust to get the rear engine casing off, it was fine with the pro pipe because there was clearance to remove it, I'm not sure how close the cruzers fit to the casings? just try removing the casing to expose the lowering bones nuts just incase the cruzers have to come off?
