Heat Demons Fitted To VL800

Just thought i'd post this as these things are brilliant!!!!


Disconnect battery



Screen removed



Parts layed out instructions read ready to install



Near side grip removal with the aid of a skewer



Grips removed



Tank covered ready for the scary bit drilling the bars



Bars drilled ready for wiring switch installed



New grips fitted, just throttle boss to adjust





Sorry for the jump in pics camera went flat!!!! then while i had everything in bits installed a secondary fuse box!

Martin I have edited post for you with re-sized pictures! Not sure what you did wrong there mate but all that I did was copy the "IMG code" and place is on it's own line within the thread

Anyway back to business, thats an ace job you have done there. I really am falling behind with the mods at the moment I really wanted this one done for the winter. Lets us know how you get on with them mate. Excellent job and good write up.

I need to wire in a fuse box as well, did you run it straight from the battery?

Thanks for that MRi resized them in photobucket first so don't know what went wrong, took the bike out this morning probably about 15 mins before the heat got through the iso grips not realy suprising, and yes i did wire the fuse box direct from the battery that's the thick red wire in the last photo

I'll bring my bike up when I get mine and you can fit mine for me Mart !!

Aha that might be the problem with the pics, don't resize them! Copy the IMG code straight from the little pics from the main album page!

I did think it might may take a while for the heat to get through but its the only way of keeping those lovely grips on.

my thoughts exactly MR I, love the new grips and as you say its the only way to have both,
