| Thinking of getting some 1" risers for my handlebars and was out in the shed trying to figure out how they would fit. The existing handlebar supports seem to have studs emerging from the bottom which go through the triple tree and they have nuts on the bottom. If I take the nuts off, pull the handlebars off and then put spacers on, the studs will not be long enough. Do the original studs unscrew from the existing handlebar supports so that replacement longer studs can be screwed in? Any advice appreciated. | |

| Hi Grob what I have read about risers is what you say.Take the handlebars off first to lessen the worry of dents in your tank ect:Then undo from underneath, the new spaces should have bigger studs to correspond with the size you need.It looks a straight forward job as long as you take your time and dont overtighten anything, they may come with rubber washes not sure, have never fitted them.Good luck. | |

| You will need to take the threaded bolt section out of the original riser. Your new risers will come with an extended threaded bar. The bolt should come out easy enough but if you struggle, screw on two nuts to the bottom section. Tighten them against each other so that they lock on to each other, then use the first one to undo the threaded bolt. Hope this helps | |
