| Here's the difference the 4" risers make on the 800. These ones happen to be from cruiserworks. I zipped an oem riser on top of the triple tree just to show the difference it makes. It's enough that it takes that little twinge away from between the shoulder blades. I've literally ridden for hours in complete comfort thatnks to this small mod. A highly recommended must-have from this rider. No cable replacements were required. | |

| How exactly is a riser measured? Is it from the bottom of the riser to the bottom of the handle bar. I have often thought about getting some but not sure how the rise is measured | |

| It appears that these are measured that way Intruder. I've got almost 4 & 1/4" from the tree to the bottom of the bar, basically 5" to the bar hole center. That's measured in a straight line. While the added length is the major criteria, the pullback angle I feel is a big player in the comfort factor. | |

| You should be ok with 4" risers, without changing cables | |

| Michael if your cables do end up too short, place them at the back of the tree instead of the front, this is what I done when I fitted VL bars to my bike. | |

| 2009 is a dodgy year, they could have loads of cable or the may be the shorter ones, it literally depends on the exact point in time of manafacture because 2009 is when they shortened the lengths. | |

| I had a 4" rise on my 2010 C with stock bars before fitting ape hanger bars and felt the cables were at maximum pull in the stock position. If you have the shorter cables you will probably have to re route behind the triple tree because of the pullback, although you may just get away with it. Let us know how you get on. | |

| Thanks y'all for the idea, and the advice. I did have to re route the wires at the signal box on the left, and the throttle cable but... Finally finished routing the wires and cables....OMG I cannot believe the difference. The best mod I think I will ever do!!! Ok so for visualaztion's sake here are the factory and baron risers side by side Before After [size=1] | |
