| Sorry to say I whimped out from making some of these as per another recent thread & bought some Oxford hand muffs instead. I popped into Megamotorcycles (the former George whites-Swindon) and they had a pair for sale for only £20 because they were the last pair they had & didn't have the bag they normally come in. So I snapped them up, it just wouldn't make sense to spend hours making them when I could buy them at the knock down price. They don't look ace on the ape hanger bars but they look OK, however the difference they make to my morning ride will be much better I am sure. | |

| Just been out for a quick spin to get some idea of how good they are or aren't as the case may be. The outside temperature at the moment here is about 3 or 4 degrees so I went for a ride up the dual carriageway without gloves on & was very pleased with them. I was in severe pain earlier in the week when the temperature was below freezing even with hand guards on and winter gloves. So I reckon with these muffs on and a good pair of gloves I will be fine now for this winter in the hand department. I would highly recommend these. | |

| Although the hand guards obviously made a difference, what you have now is complete win deflection so your hands will be fine when it gets really really cold as you say with a good pair of gloves on as well Dave I have just been looking at these and I read for the post 2010 muffs they have a pocket inside them. The reason it is there is to take the oxford wrap around heated grips but instaed of wrapping them around the grips you have them in placed flat inside the pocket instead. Sounds like a bonus idea if you find you still suffer although I think you will be fine. | |

| Yes Crash they are the ones that except the warmers, I don't think I would ever ride far enough at very cold temperatures to warrant buying those to fit inside to be honest. Great idea for despatch riders or distance commuters though. | |

| After Sundays ride out (freezing), I ordered some of these muff thingy's and I've got to say It's no wonder Dave didn't post a picture lol my bike looks like I've attached a pair of B&Q buckets to the handlebars! I'm hoping they do a good job of keeping my hands warm? So I can justify looking a right cock! as for buying the heated grip thingy for inside? I might order a couple of wood burners and a 24'000 btu boiler instead coz there's plenty of room to fit them | |
