| Not too bad , used petrol and a hair dryer, then once off more petrol on a rag to rub the remaining glue off.. | |

| I like saying I ride an Intruder...or even better..Volusia...that confuses the hell out of people as they always say Harley anyway :) What is more interesting though is why your bike is held captive by you, tied to the wall. I'm sure that's not legal! | |

| I'm confused.... Why the hell do some of you want to remove your "intruder" badge for??? Please Explain. | |

| And yes, before you all explain, I now know the other type of "intruder" (just googled it). But I'm sorry, that would not in any way make me think about ripping of the badges! | |

| Fair enough I suppose. But I do like the name, from the day I walked in the showroom and seen it on the bike tank. I think the name suits the bike style for some strange reason & wouldn't change it for the world. | |

| Thats cool, i always liked the Maruader moniker and lets face it, they are the same bike just one is chain drive. I asked my wife if she thought the name was good or bad and she surprised me by saying she thought it suited the bike and sounded mean, so I guess it really is an individual thing...and I am probably just a picky sod lol. | |

| mine says intruder and volusia, but doesnt say suzuki.people think its a harley, i bought a big f off suzuki chrome badge and they still think its a made in vietnam, tiawan, all american yanky doodle dandy harley davidson. i think you should be proud to ride a jap bike, because them harley riders look down on you as if you are a scumbag. | |

| If people like them, that's great. After all the Intruder & Volusia badges are extremely well designed and very good looking badges. The M800 & C800 badges are ugly and pointless lumps of plastic that add nothing to the bike. When I have been asked what my bike is, my response is always "VL800". Personally I like the mystery & can see no reason or advantage in my personal bike being a free rolling advertisement for the Suzuki corporation. | |

| Funny thing is, when I park up i always seem to get some guy asking what kind it is cos the only Suzuki badge was the little square one on the consul and they would miss it. I defo didn't de-badge it so non-bikies think it's a Hardly Ableson. There are a couple of Harleys I like but don't ever want to buy a bike that you have to spend a barrow load of cash to make them a reasonable ride, not when i can buy a Jap or British cruiser that manages it straight out the box. I saw a de-badged Victory the other day and it looked great and I remember thinking it looked great before I realised it was a Victory, which just proves if your bike is of a good design it don't really matter what name is on it from an apperance point of view.Case in point being HD, some of their bikes are awful looking (mostly the cheaper ones)but people buy them because of badge snobbery. They would rather have the shittiest HD than the best Jap Cruiser. Where I stay in Largs is a big bike destination with the seafront carpark full of bikes on a sunny day but the local HD owners club all gather at a different location and you can forget a wave from them....there mostly on year old bikes that never get any real milage on them and they are all decked out like outlaws but during the week they are dentists and lawyers etc......semi_rant over | |

| As already said the side badges are ugly, they are pointless so they had to go. The tank badges are rather nice but I like the tank looks nice with nothing on it. | |

Totally agree, the sidepanel badges look cheap compared to the tank badges and I really disliked the black textured plastic intruder emblem on the tank consul... The tank badges are not ugly by any means but I really like the shape of the M800 tank and prefer its lines un-cluttered. Thats not to say I won't decide to personalize the Tank and bodywork at a later date but if I do I will be starting with a blank canvas so to speak. I actually quite like the Suzuki "S" ,I even have it incorperated into a tribal tattoo (the double headed hawk "S") so I'm defo not ashamed to be a Jap bike fan. | |

| Yep it is Pete, got it on ebay as NOS, fits great and nice and thick but takes a bit of adjusting on the fork legs to eliminate the wind noise or buffetting but thats just cos I'm a shortarse. | |

| Thanks Ross, I wasn't going to even consider a screen but I really like that one and the way it mounts. I only have 30 miles on my M50 since I bought it way late in the season so I'm not even sure if I want one or not. Your bike looks great btw. I generally hate two tone but I wanted a really clean low mile bike (1600 miles) and thought I would mix it up for once. Can't wait for the snow to melt and the salt to wash away. | |

| Aye Pete the fittings really work and look neat, I bought my M800 just as it turned 3years old from a lady who had several operations on her right wrist and decided to sell as she faced further ops....I bought it blind on Ebay and when she opend the garage door it was as new ..only 1020 miles on it ...spotless, had never seen rain so I jumped on and rode it home up the east coast road from Newcastle to Edinburgh then through to Irvine on the west coast ..in the pissing rain ..all the bloody way and enjoyed every mile... I really like the two-tone paint on your bike,,, | |

| Thanks Man. BTW I rode my bike home in the rain as well. It was spotless, until I got it. I had no choice if I didn't want it to get sold. It was hard to find a low mile one. I used to be a New only guy. Now I'm a Like New only guy. | |

| Makes sense, let the first owner take the big hit, first services and any re-calls. Just think you used to be the one taking the big depreciation hit ,now your benefitting from it.That said once I have bought a bike I care nothing for depreciation, I alter it to suit me and if I loose money when I eventually sell it thats life... As for riding home in the rain, it's a good way to discover the bikes good points and bad points. Puts hair on yer chest too. | |
