| It all started when my stock right indicator came loose last summer. After endless fiddling, I decided to get rid of the big break light and go LED. So I bought this rear/breaklight: I installed it initially directly on the rear fender but wasn't sure whether it was road legal or not as it was facing slightly upwards instead of backwards. So I bought a metal plate and used the original lincense plate mount to create a license plate & breaklight combo: In the next couple of days I will actually get a smaller license plate, as well. I'm currently looking for black covers for the silver screws that are visible through the fender. | |

| Very nicely done my friend, looks good. Looking at that bracket and the way it is mounted to the fender and the plate. It would be very easy to modify it to angle and lay that plate down a bit more if you wanted. Just a though. | |

| thank you for the feedback.
I am not sure, however, about lowering it to an angle as the light would face upwards, as well. I wouldn't be surprised if German MOT would mark that as illegal.
I'm quite happy with the reslut, maybe I'll spray the metal plate black some time.

And so you should be, you have cleaned the rear end up in a extremely well thought out and executed manner.

| Is that the "standard" motorcycle plate? That thing is huge!
However, you did say you could get a smaller one?

All Union countries have to have big ones by law, thats why we are considering throwing the Greeks out

However, you did say you could get a smaller one? this used to be the old standard, we called it the pizza plate. As I am renewing my MOT next week, I'll apply for a smaller one. Same hight, aout half the width. Thank you all for your nice comments, I really appreciate it!

Do you have to apply for licence plates? well, yes and no. Because I moved I'm about to get a new plate and it's defintly going to be smaller. Because we Germans are very keen on bureaucracy, there is not only one plate but a number of different ones that all vary in size. Of course I'll try to get the smallest one possible but this ultimately depends on the person in the office and the region you move to. Let's not go into details, you see it's a mad world I live in... : )
