Can I fit a 2008 vz800 rear wheel to my 2003 vl800

I use my bike pretty much every day but all the speed bumps, pot holes etc have taken their toll on the rear wheel.
I have already respoked once about 4 years ago but now spokes showing signs of wear AGAIN.
I have seen a vz800 wheel on e-bay and like the look but want to know if the final drive units are compatible, can anybody help please???

Yes you can do a direct swap on the rear wheel but not the front, minor (ish) modding is required for that one.

Can the front wheel of a vl800 fit on a vz800 marauder? I would love to have spoke wheels!

sounds like the front wheel is a stait swap mate only the rear that needs a little work i think?

Okay, I know its been a few years since this was asked but I have a 2003 model with spoked wheels and rim, been given a quote to have it rebuilt but the waiting time is five weeks.  I Have seen a VZ front wheel on ebay.  Want to know if  you managed to do a front wheel swap?  And how easy was it?
