| Oh man that's a bad deal, one of the worst jobs to be done on a Suzuki 800. Sorry to here that mate, still if you have found a good spanner man (as mentioned in another thread) who isn't going to charge you the earth, thats one blessing | |

| will do hes looking at end of the week before he confirms the cam chain etc, but as hes checked valve clearances etc i think its got a fair chance it will be, thing is will the chain really be stretched that bad at 24000miles????? so is it just tensioners that we change or just kill the credit card n do it all?? looking and reading a few blogs theres a deffinate issue with 06-08 bikes thou. | |

| I would have thought the chain would have been OK, as that is not really very high mileage and would expect it to just be the tensioner but time will tell. | |

| well things get worse......now we are pricing a rebore etc...1 piston and barrels marked heavily looks like a partial seize.....or cold starting and reviing the nuts off it..so im looking at both pistons and barrels, full set of cam chains and tensioners plus a full gasket set obviously. strange thing tho ive looked at a set on ebay in the usa they have the same scoring marks so is this a comon fault on a 06 bike?? | |
