| On our big French trip the cable to the LED lights I fitted to my hard panniers chafed through on one side. I thought I'd been clever and had recycled the 2 core sleeved cable from a mobile phone charger, but maybe it wasnt chunky enough. But is it bad to go the other way.... in other words to run cable which is too chunky? Couldnt see twin cable in Halfrauds, so I got a length of cable off Ebay, but when it arrived, it was thicker than I expected. (the clue was probably in the bit that said 16a ). Here's the stuff: link So will this be OK to wire the LED lamps, or will there be some kind of voltage drop off or something? | |

| No problem with a slightly thicker wire, I actually use speaker wire for my LED's. | |

| Great tip about speaker wire Dave.... called in Maplins today & got some some.... lots of choice re different thicknesses, so got some which was just right, then re installed the lights when I got back. | |
