| I love the look of the twin headlights and want to add that to my bike. I've been trying to figure out the best and most economical route but need some expert advice since I'm currently 10000 miles away from my bike so it's hard to get a reference. I found a set on fleabay and the price is great, but I'm worried that they'll be too small. Scotland warrior's headlights look amazing but I haven't been able to find a set of Rocket III headlights online anywhere. I know the fleabay ones will mount easy enough as they have fork mounts (sold separately of course) but I'm not sure how the Rocket III's mount. As a reference, the Rocket III's are roughly 14.5cm in diameter each while the set I posted are 10.5cm. Do you guys think that will be too small and look funny? The posting doesn't show a picture that would really answer my question. Also I want the ability to upgrade to HID in the future if I decide to go that route and I'm worried about the depth on those (12cm from glass to back). Anyone have any words of wisdom for me? Sorry, can't post the ebay link because I'm too new. The listing is under TWIN E-Marked Clasic Chrome Motorcycle HEADLIGHT Light conversion - HLUTRCH D!BRp3kfpOng~~60_12.JPG) | |

| I've just been out and measured the gap between the forks on my 2008 M800 (M50 in American). There is about 8" or 20.3cm between the forks and 11.5" or 29.2cm to the outside edges of the forks. My guess would be that the Rocket III twin lights would be too big and that the 10.5cm ones would be just about right and maybe a fraction big if not insurmountably so. It would seem to be a reasonable bet too me.
So far as the HID conversion goes I have no idea although I'm sure somebody will have. | |

| Well they don't have to actually fit between the forks. If you look at scotland warrior's pictures in the show room they stick out in front of the forks a bit. I'm just so torn. I may just buy the smaller ones and then if I don't like how they look I can always sell them. Heck, that set generally goes for at least $50 more than their asking so I know I can get my money back if they're no good. | |

| Quite right, I was thinking more about the brackets you would need to mount them more than anything else. If the combined width of the lights is greater than the width of the forks you might be into fabricating custom brackets. Looking at the picture you posted with the brackets, which I assume are the ones you would buy, then the 10.5cm lights would seem to be about the right size for the bike. | |

| Now it all makes sense! Yeah not sure how much play I'd have in those brackets, which of course that seller doesn't carry. The ones I found that will actually fit the 41mm forks is the same concept of those, just cosmetically different. I think that they should work with the forks. The whole light setup is 21.5cm wide so that means I only have to worry about 12mm. I think that should be ok. The brackets have a rubber grommet where they bolt to the headlights themselves so that should give me just enough play. Now here's the new question... should I go with black brackets or chrome? My bike is flat black and the headlights will be chrome as the black ones don't look right. | |

| I wouldnt worry about the HID ugrade... with two headlamps, you've got lots more light anyway. You can also upgrade the bulbs to something like these and it's an easy direct swap. | |

| I just bought the bracket and I'll be ordering the headlights soon. Still have some time before I'll be able to actually put them on the bike but I'll see how they look and the light output. Pretty much anything has to be better than the stock output. I'll look into upgrading the bulbs if I'm not happy with the twin output. I guess getting the smaller ones will be better on the wallet if they look good on the bike. Keeps me from having to buy an HID kit as well! | |

| Well you guys get to enjoy waiting just as much as I do! As soon as I get home (and the wife lets me sneak away to the garage) I'm pretty sure this will be one of the first projects I tackle. | |

| I think double headlights look awesome, I'd love to do it too, but whilst somehow keeping the headlight cowl or maybe modifying it a bit | |
