neutral light works problems vl800k3

My neutral light works when the bike is cold. After about 10 min it stops working. The switch has been replaced. could this problem be internal?   else had a problem like this before?

Does it go off while you keep the bike on neutral for 10 minutes or does it not come back on when you shift back?

I haven't tried to run it in neutral for 10, I'll try it later today. But when it goes out it stays out until it sits for awhile. I'll ride to work 12 miles, 1 mile up the road its out. After work it works again. Then repeat.

I had a similar problem with aVZ800, the problem was a broken connection within the neutral light switch mounted next to the front sprocket, as the engine got hotter the connection broke and when the engine cooled again the connection was remade, I managed to repair the switch,,, but in your case because you have replaced the switch i would be looking for a broken wire making and breaking contact when hot and cold, try wiggling the wires and see if the light comes on when the engine is hot or goes off when the engine is cold, or if you have more time put a multi- meter set to a continuity test on both ends of the wires to and from the switch ( their should be a couple of connector blocks in-between, the wires came up to a connection block behind the left hand side cover on the VZ800) and wiggle away and hopefully it will show up.
