| Sim I see you are working again on your bike to give it a smoothed out rear. I will be doing this mod at a future date when I turn my bike into a bobber & have an idea for you & anyone else reading this that would like to try something a little different. You have the skills to make your self an independent and individual illumination, Have you thought about numerous well placed small LED's, that would be almost invisible until illuminated? It would be bright because of the LED's and I am told would be fine for an MOT as well. Several LED's would not really notice in the daytime when not illuminated but would still be very visible due to the light intensity of LED's if connected so that they also acted as a brake light. Would look very good on a de-cluttered and smoothed out rear end. | |

| I get your idea Dave That would look pretty special! I've been looking at these little things but they aren't really hidden enough, dual density LED's is a line of thought for sure. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Red-LED-Brake-Tail-Lights-Racing-Bike-Go-Cart-Sand-Rail-Kart-Off-road-/190875871247?pt=Other_Vehicle_Parts&hash=item2c7116a80f | |

| I like the lights you were thinking of sim but the lines of the LED's fitted would not take anything away from you smoothed out rear. Even done in a cross design or something else would be so easy to do with a little time and patience. Glad you like the idea I have had even if you don't eventually not to act on it but I will for sure. | |

| Glad to help with idea's Sim, thinking is the only bloody thing I can do at the moment due to my re-cooperation. At least when I am able to, I will have plenty to do. | |

| To me, Honda Rune slim LED lights are a dream... too much fabrication though. | |

| That is to blatantly a rear light, does look nice though. What I was talking about and have in mind is a much more discrete light than that. | |

| Good Thinking Sim. Well I would give you some idea's & thoughts but that's exactly what I had planned in exactly the same way when I came up with the idea a while ago, so I have nothing to add. Will be time consuming to get it right but would be worth it for the desired affect. Those are good LED strips as I have used the same ones on my bike, Good luck with however you decide to do the mod but I do think this way will be the best way. | |

| That will be sweet. I'd be thinking though what to do if one or more will blow over time and it's all sunk in resin? | |

Just replace them lol they're only £6 and they'd be fitted from inside the fender, LED's don't blow that often either that I know of?

| None of mine have blown in several years but it would not need to be thickly layered over with a resin, just a small amount to hold it in position. Even then it wouldn't be a major issue if you were able to remove the rear fender. Must be honest though I have personally thought very little about this mod other than the original concept & not much after that than the basics. I Don't know how well it would work given the frame that is under the rear fender, other than to work within its open spaces where necessary. If it can work as a feasible idea, I would expect Sim to be able to do it if that's the way he does go. | |

| Oh wow that would look cool to the max but I wonder how hard it would be because of the filler on the inside not being as flat and smooth as the outside | |

With the amount of filler in my fender, I'll probably have enough room for 1 LED in between where the indicators where and where the light was

| On a positive note, I have never read anywhere that the rear lights have got to be at a particular height or position, They just need to be at the rear so to speak. | |
