| Hi guys
I had a custom exhaust in my 2000 vz800 and now have bought a standard one. Anyone know how it mounts at the rear ? I may be missing a bracket ??
Thanks | |

| Normally Lee,the original bracket gets replaced with the bracket for the custom exhaust,if you can't fabricate a bracket to suit it means a trip either to ebay or a scrappie. You should be able to work out the bracket when you remove the custom exhaust and offer the original up,use something to take the wieght of the pipes at the rear,it should not be to hard to do.Good luck. | |

| Cheers Alfie ! I should be able to mock something up. Also the new header pipe bought doesn't come with the exhaust collar how do I get it on the header pipe without cutting and re welding ? | |

| Hello Lee, Here is a pic of all there should be with the original set up,,, the two bolts on the exhaust mount into a bracket ( with grommets and metal inserts) coming from the frame if it aint there you will have to fabricate something to suit,, hope this is of help. P.S you may find that because it came to you with aftermarket pipes that the carbs have been re-jeted and hi-flow air filter fitted,, a common mod,, so it would be prudent to expect performance/running change if this is the case and may need to be addressed. | |
