Pannier locks

Good day all,
I am currently in the process of modifying a set of hard panniers from a Honda Silverwing for my C800. The old lock are workable but the chrome in very rough. Can any one tell me if it is possible to have the locks re chromed with out having to strip them completely apart? Or does any one know where locks can be purchased ? My thoughts at the moment are to rub them down and paint them black. Thoughts and ideas would be much appreciated.

I am sure there are plenty yhat will fit but finding the right ones could be sod. Might be worth asking the original maker how much they would charge, or as you say, simply respray them would be an easy option. Failing that I would take one of the lock's off and pay a visit to B&Q & the like and see what similar product's they may have, you may be surprised.

Could you you post a pic, and then someone might have seen something suitable as a replacement?

I will attempt posting a picture, but being rather long in the tooth and having a SBOF classification (silly boring old fart ) I am fine with electro mechanics and analogue electrics, computers I have to leave to the grand children unless it is really simple.
