| my 2003 volusia has a hazard light switch which only seems to illuminate the right hand indicators front and back, i know its not a MOT requirement but would be nice to get it working. anyone know the correct function of the hazards and if it is just something like a flasher unit faulty? if so where is it located? cheers | |

| That's a new one on me, hazard switch pressed and only the right indicators being activated if all else is OK with the indicator use. Remove the chrome secondary gear case cover on the lower left side of the bike, it's under there. It is a dual purpose relay as it also works the side stand as well cut off as well. | |

| Thanks I will investigate further. All other functions of indicators are fine. I have a manual so will trawl through the schematics. | |

| Gotta be the relay surely, cant think of another scenario that could make that happen if the indicators are all fine? | |

| Might be some corrosion in the switch or a short in the line... Typically if your flashers are functioning normally then the relay will be fine and issue is with switch or connections..
Hazzards use the existing flasher wiring with one exception... there will be wires that taps into and runs from each the left side and right side lighting (+) to your switch then one that taps into and runs from the (-) side of the relay...
the three of them route into your switch, when you press the button it connects all 3 completing the circuit.
My money's on corrosion in the switch.. | |
