Ditch em and get some Jardines Clive .... Chrome doesn't rub off ! Am seriously considering chrome pipes, especially as my local Suzuki dealer has quoted me £725.00 to supply and fit all black V&H pipes (as this may include fitting oxygen sensors, which my dealer seems to think is vital). Otherwise, it's just knocking a few holes in the backplates.

| Your dealer must either be going by the book and has not got a flexible mind or is an environmental nut | |

| Thanks guys, the warranty is being looked into by my Suzy dealer. Meanwhile, I'll make another attempt to take a pic with my Apple phone, and transfer it onto this site | |

| Good luck with your claim, I hope Suzuki don't try to find a loophole to get out from. | |

| Suzuki dealer's offering V&H cruzers supply and fit for £750.00. A local private garage (ex Suzuki trained) will charge £450.00. Not sure whether I'll need a Power Commander or similar. Dave, you ride V&H Cruzers, do you have any extras like that? Also, I'm offered V&H Straight Shots for £490.00. Gets rid of any warranty problem, and gives me something to listen to at he same time. Experience/opinions appreciated. | |

| I am just offering my two penneth worth but what a flippin rip off £750 I will offer another two penneth worth £450 I will offer another two penneth worth £490 for a straight through pipe :moon: . Yes you will need a Power Commander or similar but only if you add a hi flo filter. Would be a shame to add a new pipe and not let it do what it wants to do - Growl a bit I would still chase them on the warrantee issue with the pipes all the same, dont let them get away with it plus you could sell them later or refit them and sell the aftermarket ones at a later date | |

| The £450 for the Cruzers fitted with O2 sensors isn't too bad, It's about £75 for welding the bosses and fitting the pipes, Roughly about the same for the Straight Shots too. £750 is bloody expensive though! with Crash, you'll only need a fuel processor if you change the air filter as well, It'll be fine just changing the exhausts Shame you moved to Ireland Clive, I have a set of Straight shots in the garage you could have tried out before buying any. | |

A trip over to the main land including a B&B could very easily pay for its self, that sounds like a nice weekend break could be in the offing.

| Are they fitting a CO2 sensor as well Clive or just fitting it, can't be to sure of the sods as a lot of them will just do anything to get you through the door & take your cash. V&H Cruzers are very good though. | |

| I agree with those who say £750 is too high a price, it is by a long way. I also agree with the member who said not to let Suzuki off the hook with their obligation to your warranty claim. It seems very odd that Suzuki are offering to fit an after market exhaust system to your bike which is still under warranty. Have they said if this would affect the warranty in any way also are they giving you any allowance for the defective exhausts which are covered under the manufacturers warranty? | |

| Suzuki will replace the bottom pipe (top pipe's ok) after which I'm looking at the V&H Straight Shot or Cruzers. Anyone got a view on whether O2 sensors matter ? Nothing under 'search' re oxygen sensors. I don't think I had them with my previous bike's HH shorties, and it didn't seem to matter. | |
