| Checked the battery and that is fine, as changed the battery as last one was kaput, she fired up once and them stalled and would not start again makes a horrible noise (made a recording!) which is just a buzz but no engine turn over, I am leaning towards the starter motor but not had te to check just yet, however thought throw it out there and see if any other ideas, the bike is a vz800 that has been modified into a bobber and the electrics look a nightmare!!
Cheers | |

| I don't want to teach Grannie how to suck eggs but I have known a lot of people over the years saying that their battery is fine because it is reading 12v. A battery should read around 12.6v any less than that it can create issues. | |

| That's what I was thinking, starting soloniod (Morgan). also check that the leads are tight on the battery and at the starter relay. Sorry I have received the sound track but can't find a way of uploading that to any of the storage programmes that I use. By fuck is that one hell of a buzzing noise though | |

| Aahhhh.... When my battery was knackered I got a strange buzzing sound too when trying to start.
And like Dave said in earlier post, I thought the battery was ok as it was registering 12v.
Could you borrow a different battery to try? | |

| If you don't have a battery tester, you can always jump the bike from a car but only as long as the car is Not running. | |

| They are both 12volt & a car battery when idle is OK but if it is connected to a running engine it has far to much amperage. Basically its a massive NO NO. It will make your bike start - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - | |
