| Really grateful for your offer Sim. I've only just spotted it. The pipes have already been sent back, I have (today) had my lower pipe replaced as the paint was falling off, and I've put six holes 12mm per pipe in the back-plates (managed to do that myself !!) and am now thinking of knocking through the first baffle. MOT's here in Northern Ireland aren't due until the bike's four years old how civilised is that, so I may just go for broke as they say, cross my fingers, and hope for the best. Once again, many thanks for a really generous offer, which, had the pipes not gone back, I'd have gratefully taken up. ps Riding horses definitely isn't my thing. I did it once when drunk, never again. However, girls in tight jodhpurs most definitely are my thing, given half a chance.
Blessings to you,my son. | |

| Having put the seven back plate holes in myself, it's cut up rough time with the baffles tomorrow. I'll send a phone thingy to Mr I with the sound on for general enjoyment. | |

| Now with 7holes per back-plate, and the outer baffle 'holed', she sounds quite a bit better (video somewhere on this site, awaiting administrator to bring it onto this thread) Question: Has anyone holed both baffles in each pipe ? Did that double the noise, or hardly make any difference ? I'm considering holing both inner baffles as well but would appreciate the experience of others first. Thanks. | |

| Still no sign of video, maybe got lost (bloody technology) Still wondering whether holing the inner baffle would increase the noise. Anyone done it? Does it make any difference, with the outer baffle already holed? | |

| Hi Clive, After drilling out your stock exhausts & 'Rodding the baffles' with a suitable spike, (A popular mod with forum members) .... ...have you thought of going back to the dealers to rod their exhaust ? | |
