| Hi Folks ! Marcing asked me to post a picture of my F6C - so here it is :- For those not familiar with this bike, it is clearly not a 'V'-twin, but a '3-twin' - i.e. the motor looks the same on the other side ! Its basically a stripped down GoldWing with a tuned motor. Whilst it is heavy it does have a bit more ground clearance than some cruisers & consequently handles well for its size & weight. Being a stripped down tourer it is quite versatile, and is easier to work on as you don't have to start removing body panels. The F6C does not have the electric reverse feature of the GoldWing, you have to push the old girl if you want to reverse ..... the joke there, having hired a GL1800 in the states, is that if you read the GoldWing handbook, you are not meant to use the electric reverse feature up a slope, or 'two-up' .... so it is a 'limited use benefit' ! Cheers folks Yam | |

| Now that is a cruiser, man now there is some serious envy factor being parked up next to that mean machine. | |

| Yeah, you know it was funny when I decided to get a better for '2-up bike', I took the good lady to see a few things, test rode a ST1100, looked at XJR1300 & some of the typical retro naked bikes, but once she saw a Valk/F6C she decided that's what we were having ..... I did not feel cause to argue, and I've (We've) really enjoyed owning it. It looks rather OTT, but is surprisingly pleasant to ride .... that said, I also love my VX800, which has a character of its own, & I think is a much underated bike. Cheers Yam | |

| That looks an amazing cruiser for doing the distance in an enjoyable way. I like the smaller cruisers cause they suit my riding style and where I live with little lanes but still give the look I am after. Out of curiosity what are bad boys like that to use around town? | |

| You can manage on it round town, but obviously its a pain compared to a Suzuki 800 derivative. But you would get used to it. I mainly use the F6C as a '2-up' bike and a passenger doesn't upset a bigger bike as much as a lighter one so it really is a 'horses for courses' thing. If push came to shove, I could live with an F6C as an only bike. which is a testament of its versatility. But as you will have guessed I tend to go for a 'decent run' on the F6C. My VX800 is my 'weapon of choice' for any short runs .... or going out with the boyz for a localish run (up to a tank full, or so, sort of thing). Cheers - Yam | |

| Yeah, I got lucky .... I'd been chasing a few F6C's in autumn one year, then went to the States for a 'road trip' on a hired bike ..... then it got forgot about it upon our return - then February the following year I found the notes on some of the bikes I had been looking at - this one was in Blackpool .... & on the good lady's' say so I rang the number & the bike had not sold. He had a 'fixed' bottom line - but when we went to view it was the best example we had seen and was worth a punt .... still happy with that decision. The F6c's do tend to hold good money .... but if you are patient .... hold out for a private sale & you should find a good one ! .... That said - I know they are not everyone's taste - but I had a Z1300 in the past and 6-cylinder machines are addictive ! | |
