Honest Abe Exhaust Mod

Any ideas where I can buy a 24" x 3/4" steel spike? Tried b&q and screwfix.

Buy some threaded bar fro B&Q or Wick's or somewhere like that, very cheap (ish).

When I saw the Honest Abe mod video I tried to get some wide bar but could not get any wide enough and cheap. But I did find a spare metal wardrobe rail which I sawed to a point and then crushed in my vice. The point was tough enough to penetrate the Intruder's baffle plates and just the right thickness. It's not a bad idea to pierce the plate with a thinner rod/drill bit first.

Call past a building site and ask if anyone's got a battery drill with 19mm sds bit for going through a cavity? It'll fire through it in seconds and saves you buying anything, Just say I bet you can't drill through this usually works!  

Well decided that I needed a 440mm x 20mm cavity wall drill anyway (I will think of another use for it soon) so I bought it today...and.......
