Hi from Lancashire

Hello to you all.
my name is Keith and I am in Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire.
After retiring from riding 5 times I have just got myself a 2002 VZ800 Marauder and loving it even though I have only had it for about 5 weeks. At 59 I hung my helmet up again as I am disabled and could not get out and about on my last bike, a bandit 600, as it had become so uncomfortable after ten minutes of riding. Hence my 5th retirement from biking. BUT, as I have missed owning a bike so much I thought I would try one last time with my first cruiser ever, the Marauder. I wish I had tried one years ago it would have saved me a few quid chopping and changing my bikes. As already said I am 59 and have been riding bikes since I was 16. Never going longer than a year without a bike I have owned a large variety of bikes over the years, what can I say, it's in my blood.
Without becoming morbid I have recently been diagnosed as terminally ill so thought I would really enjoy my last bike and try to get out on it as much as my health and the weather permits, seems like the weather gods are being kind to me.
Anyway I have prattled on for way too long so will leave it there for now. I hope to gain lots of information about the Marauder from this forum and look forward to reading through all your threads.

Have you been up to St Anne's Sq Monday evenings, or knott end on a Wednesday? Not seen a lot of Intruders there, but a few of them HD things

not been to either of them for ages, about three bikes ago, would have been on a Suzuki DL 650 wee stum then. about 2 years ago.

Hi Keith really pleased you have got back to bikes and the enjoyment they give and I really hope that you get a long time of enjoyment out of it

Hello mate and   . You enjoy every minute with that new bike. And remember if you ever reach a point where your illness makes riding it tough, the intruders trike really well ... Maybe that could be an option
