Another Newbie to say "Hi!"

Hi all,

Rev Mick, currently on mission in Spain, just retrieved my ageing VX800 from the UK via a mate in the back of his van. It's been in storage in a damp shed for 9 years, and needs much restoration..... 

.... amazingly and credit to the bike.... after a carb clean and degunk.... it started up on a car battery..... and idled just great!!!

It had been sprayed with WD every few years (!!!) so the exterior not toooo bad - however all unseen parts looked like they'd been under the ocean for a hundred years - crusty rust and cack all over.....

Well, I'll post some pics and questions another day...

I will very much look forward to the pictures and the journey towards restoration. Sounds like a great project & wow she started so easily, that's a real credit to the beast & makes it all seem so much more of a viable project. Good that you sprayed the old girl randomly with WD40 as that would of made such a big difference to what you have to now work with.
