Great looking bike.   
It's only as fast as you alow it to be but yes I can see it encouraging you to speed already.

Love it! Great colours. Can be ridden sedately as it is easy to ride but would be a shame not to have a blast as I'm sure you will.

Got to get it started first. Bloke i bought it off said when charging the battery he touched frame with charger, fused somewhere or burnt out wire. Cant find fault yet, still looking!!

Nice bike .... but description of problem given by seller sounds a bit lame to me.

Pinpointed problem. Fault on alarm system/immobiliser. Over ridden it and bike works. Going to remove system, should be sorted then.

I did wonder if an aftermarket alarm might have been fitted, & be the source of the problem .....
....... call me a cynical old   ... but that is so often the cause of problems on modern bikes.

Great to read that you've got it sorted (& quickly), bet you are well pleased now.

Have you ragged the nads of it yet Stone?  

Not yet. Got to remove immob first. Not doing that without wiring diagram. Will the ragging the.nads off it soon.

Just finished taking immob off, new battery, sorted. Started 3rd go. 

MOT next. should pass, everything looks ok to me.

All sounding good Stone, careful with the throttle hand ... enjoy it whilst the plod ain't watching !

Yes . My mate Dennis has a good saying .... 'Remember - throttles work both ways !'  

But I would tend to 'forget' that on a Gixxer.

I'm sure you will ride it 'appropriately'

Ignore Yam & Sim, if 170+mph gives you the feel good factor even in a 30mph zone, just do it.

so your in the 150 club (probably where before) common man get a private road and go for the 180 club hehehe

Well without trying to upset Dave's perception of us 'owd gits' .... even a geriat like me has been in the '150 club'     .... & I had the 'Good lady' on the back !!!!!! .... (on the CBR) ..... something she often reminds me about !!!!

Strange ..... She ain't been near a CBR since I got the F6C .....

I don't recall ever riding over 140mph (ish) so this getting "old git" is never going to be in the club I don't think.

Whatever Sim, we were pulling over 100 mph on the French motorways & you had Jo as a pillion at the time. Allegedly.  

That was France Dave!, I don't speak French and I haven't quite got my head around the kph malarky yet    , I respect the speed limits of my home country, Respect them yes! Abide by them? Rarely!  

I think we should have a thread admitting and telling a story of our maximum speeds achieved? could be interesting? I'm sure there's a few    amongst us!
