| If you shave your head, you may know what it is. I just like the design - and for me, it's just like looking in a mirror !!! | |

| Dave, really like that. The decal looks as if it was made to compliment the black speedo surround. Did you paint that yourself it's a great job. What paint did you use ? | |

| Great job, all black goes really well. Have you checked the speedo yet, mine was out by ten and didn't flick up at first. Had to get gps speedo app for phone to check it. All good now though! | |

| Can something like this be done with my VX, it was an import so it has a km/h dial face and a speedo healer thing between the speedo and the drive cable to convert it to mph. | |

| Does the speedo come apart on the VX? if so, I can't see why not. | |

Hi Ricky - thanks. The decal is a logo for an American company - it just seemed to suit the bike styling & they were very encouraging about me using it. I'll replace the black screw on the left, with a white one over winter. " /> ( https://www.suzuki800.com/t4046-updated-2001-suzuki-vl-800-bobbed-finished-for-this-year ) I was going respray the stuff myself, using a flat or hammered black spray, but my cousin, who works for Dream Machine, offered to the lot for me (front & back mudguard, speedo surround, air filter cover, front indicator cover) I knew he'd do a faster job than I could & I wanted it on the road yesterday, so I took him up on his offer. I've used PlastiKote plastic primer & spray with good results in the past, so that's what I would have gone for this time if I'd done it myself.

Have you checked the speedo yet, mine was out by ten and didn't flick up at first. Had to get gps speedo app for phone to check it. All good now though! Hi George Followed the fitting instructions to connect it & switch the ignition on, which is what re-sets the magnet & had no problems with that. First time, it was reading 10 mph low, so re-fitted the needle the wrong side of the stop & it's now running about 2 mph low - which is fine as it gives me a margin of error. My main problem is that I don't have sat-nav & have to ride past a road-side "this is your speed" board to check it !!

Les - sorry if you misunderstood. As Simbo correctly stated, I was taking the piss about how the speedo face resembles my own ugly mug. No offence was intended - please accept my apologies if you though some slur was aimed at you. Taking the piss out of ourselves is a typically British trait
