| Here's my little piece of joy. Firstly with pillion setup. The pillion seat is a Harley Davidson Fat Boy Touring Pillion seat p/n 52915-07 with OEM backrest and parcel rack. Very comfortable I'm told by anyone who rides with me.
and without. It's had a few tweaks and extras that include: OEM Windscreen, Fatboy style handlebars (3" lift), Dynojet Power Commander III, K-Drive saddlebags, Highway Hawk GRIPSET 'LEGEND', Vance and Hines Cruzers exhaust pipes, MC Enterprises Hi-Way Pegs Deluxe O-Ring Style, K & N Powersports Performance Gold Oil Filters Chrome, Chrome tank trim, Motorcycle Stereo Radio FM MP3 iPod + 2 Speakers, Remote Control Under Car LED Kit, Stebel Nautilus Compact Horn, Leather tool bag accented with braids, Kruzer Kaddy Leather Wrap holder, Waterproof Dual Port Outlet Cellphone Micro USB, Waterproof Phone mount and case and not to forget my Celtic Cross, Motorcycle Biker spirit guardian bell. I've tried to make the mods as subtle as possible so that they don't look out of place but are in keeping with the "M" theme.

You need to either remove the pillion saddle strap hold or create a new one which is longer as it's too small for the HD seat. The tongue which accepts the front of seat (which the saddle strap attaches too) requires a slight mod by removing about 1/4" on either side to fit the HD mouth. While this requires the removal of the turn up along the tongue it will reduce the overall strength of the tongue against turn up, I believe the seat mouth and rear holding mount plate would give first in the event of major upward pull being placed on the seat. (Note I am not a structural engineer and this is purely my pissing in the wind belief) The rear holding mount fits with no mod required and the curve of the fender for the seat to sit on is so close to the HD that it also is not an issue and after over four years of use of the seat (regularly) there is no sign of wear or scuffing on the fender where the seat load is taken. My daughter (80kg) and I did a day trip from Sydney to Melbourne via the coast road (just on 1000Km) she got off with no issue of sore bumb. If you intend to do some good pillion k's this seat is a excellent option. I also had a set of fitted wool seat covers. (Covers are made for the seat off OEM measurements and templates.) Hope this helps.

| Hi Lindsay, .... & I love that wollyback seat cover - ... I'm making further enquiries from the details you provided elsewhere about your supplier of the seat cover. Cheers Yam | |
