| Hi, I'm happy to have found this forum for like minded people. I bought my first Suzuki in about 1982 with the first bike after I passed my test, it was the GSX550ESD, absolutely brilliant bike that really gave me confidence. Then when the first Intruder came out in 1986 (ish) I fell in love, but for reasons mainly to do with finance I never managed to buy one, until now I have finally purchased a 1994 VS800GL, old like me, but still plenty of miles left in the tank. One previous owner who bought it new, and only 3,500 miles on clock. There is a dent in the tank unfortunately but it was hidden by the black frilly tank cover, I guess I should have been more observant. I will post a pic once I have discovered how. I'm 60 this year, but still have full faculties, teeth, hair etc. I live near Guildford, and hope to be able to contribute to this forum for years to come. My name is Alan. Thanks for making me welcome (I hope lol) | |

| Hi Alan and I too owned a GSX550ESD , 1983 model Blue / White , loved it and still wish I had it now to be honest. Had fairing lowers and a period black chrome Motad 4 - 1 . One of the comfiest bikes I've ever ridden. | |

Really annoyed my mate when I used to leave him for dead on his Yamaha waiting for his turbo to spin up. Brilliant bike, one of the best I've ever ridden. | |
