| Evening all. oldtom here. First post here so here goes ... I have been riding since 1964 and passed my test in 1965 on an Ariel Arrow. I am some time into collecting my state pension and biking keeps the cobwebs off me. At the moment I have three bikes. 1997 VTR - currently on sale as my wrists can't take it anymore. A 2013 V-Strom 650 and a 2014 Kawasaki SX. This week I am hoping to collect a VL800 Intruder ( fingers crossed it all goes well). I had an M800 in 2010 and a year later traded up to an M1500 and while it had all the power I wanted, it was a bit of a back breaker to ride any distance and it has now gone. I feel the need for a bike that's easier to get on and ride so I am going back to the 800, although the one I'm looking at is not the M model. Riding a shiny bike 5 miles to a "show off cafe" is not my thing. I'm more of a 'chuck a tent on the back and ride 300 miles and camp' sort of a rider. I like to spend more time riding it than cleaning it, but hey I might reform, there's still time. | |

| Hi Tom
Arial Arrow, you must have been around the block a few times. Welcome and keep on riding safe, just to get rid of the cob webs of course ! G Terence | |

| Welcome Tom, pleased you have found us my friend. PS Cruisers are a good bike to use as age creeps upon us as they look good with rider backrests which can be a god send. | |
