| Cheers everyone, I have just put on some pillion grab bars, very solid construction, removed sissy bar as, although I love it, it forced the top box to far back, I'll have to decide which I like best (picture 5) The back end is very different from the Lehman conversion that Tex has, I quite like the enclosed back, can't achieve that on this one but maybe some larger hard panniers may help tone down the naked look at the back, but are soooo expensive for what they are. Anyway guys, great talking to you all, be safe. | |

| loving what you've done with that! The older I get, the more I'm tempted by a trike. I love the bike conversions like yours .... Problem is, I also really like the low rider style ones, factory built as a trike from scratch by the likes of rewaco. But you're talking seriously stupid money for them... | |

| Mal, before I got the trike I wasn't sure what style to go for, loved the 'biker' style but also liked the car style especially as they had a gear stick and a foot clutch and one brake serving front and rear. To that end I hired out a Rewaco 1.6 to see how I got on with it. It was, and is, a fantastic machine but for some reason I just didn't get on with it. Left it for some time before I got the volusia, drove it from Bristol to home (300 miles or so) having never had a motorbike in my life, I assume a Vespa GS doesn't count! By the end of the journey I was in love with it, spent the next few weeks discovering the intricacies of changing gear with the foot and braking using hands and feet! Never looked back, spent loads, wasted loads, but that's life, oh, and you don't drop it or fall off! Yeah, discovered that the tool roll was a silly idea, luckily not to much of a mark on the mudguard. | |
